Adam's pulling for his song "Suburban Decay" to wow the powers that be. "Hey, Eclipse...Want my song? It's kind of about vampires," he says referring to a verse in the track about bloodlust. Seems fitting, no?The song was dropped from Adam's debut CD, but he still considers it to be a great tune. "I hope to perform it someday, and I think it will find a home on a soundtrack or something...maybe Twilight," he tells MTV. "It just didn't quite fit [in my album]. It's very theatrical."

Speculation on who Adam Lambert has been working with on his debut album can finally be put to rest! The track listing for Adam Lambert's "For Your Entertainment" has been revealed and we are excited to share it with you!

Adam comments on working with so many great producers and songwriters:

“I feel so lucky to have been granted true opportunity to work with some of the top producers and writers in popular music,” Says Adam. “This album is a reflection of their genius and the collaborative energy that they were gracious enough to share with me.”

The credits on Lambert’s first album read like a list of the hottest artists in the music business. Lady Gaga, long cited as a major influence on Adam, co-wrote the track “Fever” with producer Jeff Bhasker. P!nk is a co-writer on “Whataya Want From Me,” along with Sweden’s Max Martin and Johan Shellback. Matthew Bellamy, of the British prog rock/eletronica band Muse, one of Adam’s favorite groups, wrote “Soaked.”

Justin Hawkins, who was lead singer of the acclaimed British quartet the Darkness, wrote the lead track on the album, “Music Again.” Rivers Cuomo, co-founder, lead singer and principal songwriter for Weezer, is one of the writers on “Pick U Up,” along with Lambert and Greg Wells (“I Do Not Hook Up,” Kelly Clarkson).

There are other stellar names featured in the credits on Adam’s debut release. Rock goddess Linda Perry, responsible for hits like “Beautiful” by Christina Aguilera and “Get The Party Started” by P!nk, is the writer and producer of “A Loaded Smile.” Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic, whose credits include “Bleeding Love” for Leona Lewis and “Halo” for Beyoncé, wrote and produced “Sleepwalker.”

Adam co-wrote four of the songs on his album. In addition to “Pick U Up,” Adam penned “Strut” with Greg Wells and “American Idol” judge Kara DioGuardi; “Aftermath” with Alisan Porter, Ferras and Ely Rise; and “Broken Open” with Wells and Evan Bogart (whose credits include “S.O.S.” by Rihanna and “Jai Ho! (You Are My Destiny)” from “Slumdog Millionaire.”

Four of the tracks on “For Your Entertainment” are produced by Rob Cavallo, the A-list producer who has worked with Green Day, My Chemical Romance, David Cook, Alanis Morisette, Chris Isaak, Paramore, Jewel, Shinedown and Dave Matthews Band. Cavallo produced “Music Again,” “Soaked,” “Sure Fire Winners” and the bonus track, “Time For Miracles,” from the soundtrack to the new motion picture, “2012.”

One day before “For Your Entertainment” goes on sale, Adam will sing the title track on television for the first time, appearing on “The American Music Awards” on ABC-TV on Sunday, Nov. 22. He will give a special live concert performance on ABC-TV’s “Good Morning America” on Wednesday, Nov. 25, “Late Show With David Letterman” that same night on CBS and will pre-tape on Nov. 23. LOS ANGELES - "American Idol" runner-up Adam Lambert has told Rolling Stone magazine he is gay, answering a question that followed the singer for months since he gained millions of fans on the No. 1 U.S. TV talent show.

"I don't think it should be a surprise for anyone to hear that I'm gay," Lambert told the music magazine in excerpts from an interview released Tuesday as it was announced that he had secured a record contract with his debut album due out in fall.

"I'm proud of my sexuality," he said. "I embrace it. It's just another part of me."
The issue with Lambert on the cover hits newsstands this Friday, with the full interview inside.

During his "American Idol" run Lambert was known for his falsetto singing, outlandish costumes, eyeliner and fingernail polish. He was nicknamed "Glambert" and Entertainment Weekly magazine called him "the most exciting 'American Idol' contestant in years."

When he lost in May's finale to the more buttoned-down Kris Allen, some fan websites and the media buzzed with speculation that being gay cost him votes from viewers who pick a winner.

Lambert, who was widely considered the front-runner going into the finale, had never publicly said he was gay. In March, when photos appeared on the Internet of him kissing another man and dressed in drag, he said only: "I have nothing to hide. I am who I am."

His sexuality became an issue widely covered in the media because "Idol," seen by an average of about 26 million viewers a week in 2009, had never crowned an openly gay winner.

The runner-up in 2003, Clay Aiken, hid his sexuality for years after his run on the show, coming out as gay in 2008.

The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, a group that advocates for homosexual rights, said it hopes Lambert's "decision to live openly and honestly inspires gay people and opens the hearts and minds of his fans."
On Tuesday, producer 19 Recordings said it had signed Lambert to a record contract and that his debut album will likely be released in the fall through RCA Records.

The announcement came a day after 19 Recordings said it had signed Allen to a record deal, a guaranteed result of his first-place finish on "American Idol." 19 Recordings is run by Simon Fuller, executive producer of "American Idol."
Lambert, 27, grew up in San Diego, California, and starred in musical theater before trying out for "Idol" last year.

In the Rolling Stone interview, he said he had a "psychedelic experience'' at an annual festival held in the Nevada desert called Burning Man, and that experience convinced him to try out for "American Idol."

"I realized that we all have our own power, and that whatever I wanted to do, I had to make happen," Lambert told Rolling Stone.

Lambert also revealed a crush on Allen, who was his roommate for much of the two singers' run on "American Idol."

"He's the one guy that I found attractive in the whole group on the show: nice, nonchalant, pretty and totally my type -- except that he has a wife," Lambert joked.

"American Idol" is broadcast by the Fox network, a unit of News Corp. Past winners, including Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, have enjoyed Grammy-winning careers, but stardom has also touched runners-up such as Chris Daughtry.

While much of the chatter surrounding “American Idol” runner-up Adam Lambert has to do with speculation about his sexuality, the behind-the-scenes talk at many of the stops along Lambert’s publicity tour is how difficult he is to work with.

“He is such a diva. Rude to everyone — from fans right down to the lighting folks,” said one person who worked with Lambert.

Clay Aiken says blood didn't truly pour forth from his ears when he heard runner-up Adam Lambert sing "Ring of Fire" — and hey, he's sorry for his "colorful choice of words."

The former Idol contestant writes in a blog on his Web site dated Friday that "I obviously meant it as a colorful statement to imply that I did not enjoy what I heard." He also says he didn't mean it as "a 'slam' on Adam as a person."

He had blasted Lambert's take on the classic Johnny Cash tune as "contrived," "awful" and "slightly frightening." Aiken says he hopes Lambert can forgive him — but adds Lambert probably doesn't care about what he said.

Aiken lost out to Ruben Studdard in 2003. He's since released several albums, appeared on Broadway and publicly confirmed he's gay.

I can't believe all the people who are saying that Kris should have won because he is a "regular" person. Being "regular" has nothing to do with how TALENTED he is. By ANY standards, ADAM is far more talented! He has the range, the tone quality, the stage presence, the versatility, and the creativity. Voting against him because the judges liked him was just a stupid defensive reaction. The judges liked him because he was far and away the most talented, and they recognized that. This is also the first time for Tavia Yeung to try out a villain role. As Charmaine Sheh and Tavia Yeung origin from palace maid, therefore before they could find ways survive in palace, they would have to withstand all the mistreatment in the palace. Charmaine would be splashed with water and Tavia’s mouth would be stitched up. Not easy at all to be a palace maid.

Tavia Yeung who always took up the role of a straightforward person, finally know what is the meaning of “disaster comes from mouth” in this series. Tavia Yeung expressed, “In this series, I would voice out everything and therefore I would always offend other peoples. Before this, I tried before being beaten up until my mouth and face were swollen. This time my mouth would be stitched up. Although the needle did not prick exactly inside her mouth, but anyhow her face would hurt whenever the needle touched her skin. Other than being abused in palace, there was also another development for Tavia as this was the first time she took up a villain role. “I always become a good person. I want to try out a different role as a baddie. This is because there are many inner acting this time and it was quite hard so I will always ask Michelle and Suzanna for their guidance. Before this I watched a lot of Best Actress, Lau Hiu Heng’s movies. I hope that can bring fresh feelings to audiences.

After War And Beauty, Charmaine Sheh who once again took part in palace series, would not act as a palace concubine who fights with other concubines in palace anymore. “This time, I act as a palace maid that grows up in palace. During my childhood time, my mom would always teach me to speak good words, do good deed and be a kind hearted girl. Therefore, I would listen to my mother’s advice and become a very good person and do my parts in palace. My role is totally different from Tavia. Her role is a palace concubine that would use all the evil tricks to maintain her status. I put a lot of hopes in this series as the story is indeed attractive. When I took the script, I could finish up reading 10 episodes in 1 day. Hope that when they air this series, it will attracts a lot of audiences.

'American Idol' Finale: Kris Allen Upsets Adam Lambert

Allen wins 'American Idol' season-eight crown to the surprise of many, including himself.

Call him the "dark horse," the "Come-from-Behind Kid," the humble crooner. Call him whatever you like. But from now on you also need to call Kris Allen your "American Idol."

After a historic tally of nearly 100 million votes, the shy 23-year-old singer from Conway, Arkansas, pulled off one of the most surprising wins in the show's nearly decade-long history by taking the crown from the theatrical season-long front-runner, Adam Lambert.

Following nearly two hours of build up, when the time came for host Ryan Seacrest to announce the results, Allen and Lambert stood arm-in-arm, their friendship looking much more like a real bond than a made-for-TV facade. And when Seacrest opened the envelope, Allen looked genuinely stunned, his mouth hanging open as Lambert gave him a big hug.

Finally raising his hand in victory and looking like he was a bit nauseous, Allen said, "Are you freakin' serious? ... It feels good man, but Adam deserves this. I don't even know what to feel right now. This is crazy. Thank you so much."

Moments before, admitting that he doesn't usually mean it, judge Simon Cowell told the finalists, "I thought you were both brilliant, unusually, incredibly nice people and I think both of you should be incredibly proud of what you achieved last night." It was a distinct turnaround for the always acerbic Cowell, who repeatedly talked down to Allen during the course of the final rounds, telling him he would never win the crown, until recently changing his tune when Allen's momentum began to pick up thanks to a series of wily creative decisions.

Allen became the first "Idol" winner to ever get an official trophy, in the shape of an old-fashioned microphone, which he held by his side when his rival came back out to give him another hug as Allen continued to shake his head in disbelief. After struggling with the Kara DioGuardi co-written winner's song "No Boundaries" on Tuesday night, a much looser-looking Allen knocked it out of the park on his second try, embracing the judges and his fellow contestants as a rain of confetti and sparks enveloped the stage and it began to sink in that his unlikely ride to victory was complete.

According to Seacrest, despite some busy signals, just under 100 million votes came in for Lambert and Allen Tuesday night, and though he didn't reveal how many votes ultimately separated them, he said the season total was a record-setting 624 million votes.

Eschewing their typical casual wear, prior to the big reveal, the judges put on their Wednesday best, with Randy Jackson rocking a tuxedo, DioGuardi modeling a sleek black dress, Paula Abdul sporting a body-hugging gold number and even Cowell leaving the v-neck T-shirts in the closet in place of a black suit and white shirt.

Our first glimpse of the night of the finalists found them wearing matching all-white outfits, looking like a pair of space-age cabana boys. Picking up on that crisp look, the music kicked off with the top 13, also in all white, doing a cover of Pink's "So What." Later in the program, the girls got on their glam outfits for a slowed-down take on Fergie's "Glamorous," which segued into the Fergilicious one herself doing a snippet of "Big Girls Don't Cry." She was joined by her Black Eyed Peas mates and some black-and-white-spandex clad dancers for the group's speaker-banging hit "Boom Boom Pow."

Last year's winner, former bartender David Cook, came back for a second time this season to show the kids how it's done, singing his lighter-flicking ballad "Permanent" as a tribute to his recently deceased older brother, Adam. And Lil Rounds redeemed her unglamorous exit by standing toe-to-toe with Queen Latifah and regally rocking it on the regal one's new disco-tastic single, "Cue the Rain."

Finalists Anoop Desai and Alexis Grace bopped along with Jason Mraz to his reggae lite hit "I'm Yours," last girl standing Allison Iraheta partnered with a dulcimer-strumming Cyndi Lauper for "Time After Time" and third-place finisher Danny Gokey gave a glimpse of his potential career with a soulful run through Lionel Richie's "Hello," which paved the way for a duet with the R&B legend on his new single, the slinky "Just Go." Also paying a visit on the classics-heavy finale was legendary guitarist Carlos Santana, who ripped into "Black Magic Woman," with a vocal assist from the always-fedora'd Matt Giraud, soon joined by the rest of the top 13 for a sing-along to the Grammy-winning smash "Smooth."

And the hits kept coming, as the top two got their chance to shine, with Allen showing off his country-pop potential alongside Keith Urban on the twangy "Kiss a Girl," while Lambert donned studded metallic wings, gigantic platform boots and a space-age black leather suit to croon the classic Kiss ballad "Beth." The pyro-loving rockers then descended from the ceiling in fireball slash to sing a medley of "Detroit Rock City" and "Rock and Roll All Nite," with Lambert nearly showing up both of the band's singers with his power-rock vocals.

Near the end of the two-hour flashback fantasy ride, the pair took center stage along with Queen guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor for a fog-enshrouded sway through the English glam rocker's iconic "We Are the Champions," grabbing hands for a bro-shake at one point and ending the song by holding a dual high note.

One of the night's strangest visitors was comedic legend Steve Martin, who plucked his banjo on the original bluegrass tune "Pretty Flowers" from his just-released debut musical effort, The Crow, voiced by Michael Sarver and Megan Joy. Continuing the Boomer-friendly cavalcade of oldies, the male finalists put on their best "Reservoir Dogs" black suit and ties to sing Rod Stewart's "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?," paving the way for Rod the Mod himself to croak his classic, "Maggie May."

Among the other time-fillers of the night were the lampoony Golden Idol Awards, which reminded us of all the vocally impaired goofballs who didn't make it past the initial rounds, including one of our favorites, Nick "Normund Gentle" Mitchell. Despite seemingly using up his 15-minutes-plus, Mitchell acted like he was getting a real award, only to strip down to a spangly uniform and give us one more dose of his spazz-tastic rhythm and farce. We also got another glimpse of Katrina "Bikini Girl" Darrell, who got showed up by her tormentor, DioGuardi, when the judge outsang and outfoxed the swimsuit model by revealing her equally rockin' bikini body.

But, ultimately, the night belonged to Allen, who truly underwent a transformation on the show, from the meek guy who auditioned and said he wasn't sure he was the next "American Idol," to the singer who silenced the doubters not with a Lambert-like rebel yell, but with a quiet confidence and a shy grin.

Regardless of the way that I have felt about his fans over the course of this season,tonight I feel like I was finally able to shed all of that dislike and really look at Adam and his situation from his point of view. He has had to go through so much just being in this competition, and I think that the reason I didn't fully understand this before is because he has always managed to push it all aside and hit that stage week after week with a brave face. I admire and respect him for that ability. The ignorance, biotry, and hate has been staggering (just over the course of a couple of days) and had I been in the position that he has been in, I probably would have buckled. From people digging so heavily into his private life and business, to passing judgement based on a lifestyle that he has chosen for himself. His talent is real and amazing, the best I have had the pleasure of listening to, and it is a shame that all this other "mess" has unfortunately clouded that for some. I wonder how he feels when his fellow contestants come out with a video proclaiming their views on "godly" love, or when a "pastor" urges voters to vote for the "next believer", or when O'reilly feels it imperative to inform all that a "gay idol" is unacceptable, or when voters claim that he is not "idol" material... I cried re-watching his Change is Gonna Come perfomance, because for the first time I allowed myself to be open and really think about his struggle. I'm crying now because it hurts to think of it.... I can't write anymore because this is killing me, so i'll end this by saying that Adam Lambert is a hero, He has one of the most amazing talents and an ability to touch, he is an idol in so many ways, and a winner in every sense of the word.

American Idol's Adam Lambert almost unrecognisable in high school yearbook photos

Here is American Idol extrovert Adam Lambert looking almost unrecognizable as a blond-haired high school student before he started wearing mascara and nail polish.

Simon Cowell and his fellow Idol judges would struggle to recognize the rising star in these yearbook photos from his days at Mt. Carmel High School in San Diego.

But even back then showman Adam's talent for performing made him stand out.

He was a member of the school choir, appeared in numerous plays and musicals and sang the national anthem at his school football team's Homecoming Game.

Adam, who graduated in 2000, was already looking forward to a career as a performer in his message in his senior yearbook.

He wrote: "Who knows what I'll be doing in the future!

"I'm pretty convinced I'll be doing something in the arts, since that is what has pre-occupied my every waking moment for the last four years, or at least those I have been awake for.
"Speaking of which, I plan to get more sleep and get a job that does not require me to be awake at too early of an hour."

Adam, now 27, showed his fondness for sleeping in one yearbook photo where he appeared to be crashed out over a desk during a lunch break.

He played the part of Bottom in a school production of A Midsummer Night's Dream in his senior year and wrote in the yearbook: "This was to make an Ass of me. Thank you for all the laughter."

The talented singer also dressed up smartly in a tuxedo to pose with the school's Classical Vocal Ensemble choir in his junior year.

Adam was a member of the school's Drama club and starred in the musical The Secret Garden as a junior.
Judy Shuta, administrative assistant to the principal, said: “Adam looked very different when he was a student here to what he does now.

2 weeks ago, adam sang a haunting version of "Mad World" by Tears for Fears, the Gary Jules/ Michael Andrews arrangement. It's so much better than the rather dorky original.

The song TRACKS OF MY TEARS keeps on going over & over again in my head after 2 weeks !!!!!!

When i 1st saw adam with his dark mascara and his black leather jacket , I m so in LOVE with him!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My dad when 1st saw him told me that adam will win the title this yr, certainly!!
I hope too.. Dad & I was dissappointed when Daughtry didnt won the title in Season 5 =(
But it's okay.. Daughtry is now a Grammy nominated rock guitarist, singer & song writer !!

Does Adam resemble Elvis Presley?
Although I m only 16. But i do love Elvis lots.. i know plenty of his song^^
